3G and 4G are both wireless technologies. Then, since exist two technologies what is the difference in 3G vs 4G technology?

First appeared the 3G technology, and the 4G is only the revolutionized version of the 3G. Both of them provide fast data transfers, but one of them does that with bigger speed. Then is the minimum data transfer rate of 384 Kbps for pedestrian traffic and finally 2 Mbps of data transfer rate for indoor conditions for downlink. The 3G technology is using the CDMA multiple access technique. The CDMA technique has different variations.
